Sermon and Worship Video Library
We have put together an online video library of our worship services so that you can follow along in our ministry and support it in your prayers. Our videos are located on a variety of social media websites, like Facebook, YouTube, and GodTube, and in this way we have been able to present the gospel to people from around the world. Our online videos have had over a half million views from people in all parts of the world, including the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Phillipines, German, Russia, India, France, Brazil, and so on. With these videos we would like to introduce you to the life and ministry of our church, and provide an opportunity for those who miss a service to see what is happening at First Presbyterian Church. Sermons
Our sermon videos typically take you through a book of the Bible and explain its meaning and how it relates to the modern world. The Bible in its original manuscripts is God's infallible and inerrant Word, completely trustworthy in all that it says about faith, family, religion, ethics, business, economics, politics, government, science, history, geography, mathematics, etc. Its purpose is to show us our need for salvation from sin through Jesus Christ, who alone is able to save us by his death on the cross. It also shows us how we should bring every thought into captivity to Christ, bringing all of life under his lordship. It thus provides us with a comprehensive world and life view to challenge the prevailing Non-Christian viewpoints in modern culture.
Worship Services
Our Worship Services focus on the glory of God in Christ, and call for our response in acts of adoration, praise, thanksgiving, and prayer. Our worship services follow a traditionally Reformed liturgy with its emphasis on approaching God in Spirit and in Truth.
Special Music
We enjoy praising the Lord with music and song, and we are blessed with those who have special gifts for music ministry. Our worship services typically have a hymn from our Trinity Hymnal sung by Waggoner and MacLaren, our vocal team, and beautiful offertories by our pianist, Mrs. Rebekah Waggoner.
Catechism Meditations
Pastor MacLaren offers a weekly meditation on the Larger and Shorter Catechisms of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church as part of the Sunday Worship Services. These meditations are designed to give our church members a systematic understanding of the Reformed faith as taught in the Scriptures. The meditations are about 8 minutes in length and give a nice, capsule statement of what the Scriptures teach on a particular topic.
